I love revenge & vigilante justice thrillers because they let me explore the things I’d (probably) never do. The world is gray when it comes to things like that, and having followed some high profile cases I believe the justice system is great as well, especially when it comes to jury trials. The type A personality in me wishes things were more black & white, but i enjoy reading other perspectives & scenarios. You’re a “new to me” author & I’ve added all your books to my TBR. Looking forward to reading them!
The world is a lot more grey than the justice system. I just have a hard time with the whole black vs white thing, we are all human and are people and we shld treat each other as such! You respect me, I’m gonna respect you.
Can’t wait to read. My world was black and white until I had my daughter. If someone hurt her and I was 100% positive it was them, but they were going to go unpunished-it’d be awfully hard to let it go. Doubt I’d have the nerve for violence, but I suppose that’s also why I write, to kill all the deserving men I can’t in real life.
I feel like this is a good argument for reading as well—through books we experience many different lives and are challenged to think what we’d do in alternate situations. -Lauren
I love watching superhero movies because they always fight for the justice that is on the grey more often than not! Sometimes, justice isn't always black and white clear, and it's disheartening knowing that justice isn't served enough for those who deserves it!
Now, my TBR has just grown so much! Thank you for the book recommendations!
Yes! Your post made me think of X-Men and the conversations around identity, power, and responsibility—what movies do you think address the gray area best? -Lauren
Such an interesting question! I think it’s a grey area. I believe that all humans are capable of doing amazing things, but also horrible things and that it depends on each person’s experience. I love vigilante justice thrillers because they explore this concept and allow readers to explore this concept in a safe way.

I personally love Batman. He doesn't kill to get the justice served..
Yes — he has his own moral code and lots of cool tools to avoid guns

I think most of life happens in the gray areas. Excited for Darby's newest book. What the Wife Knew sounds great!
You’re so right—and the gray area is more interesting! -Lauren
