We Love the Nightlife sounds wonderful! I like vampires and love thrillers so this should be fun. I associate songs with specific events and people more than ages. For example, The Thong Song (I can't remember who sang it) brings back funny memories of a specific person.
Age 23 means I was coming back from a year away from the US. I landed at Boston Logan and my ride was playing "I Gotta Feeling" by The Black Eyed Peas. I asked if the song was a joke - like a radio jingle or a spoof. I learned quickly I had missed the party song of the summer. Now it reminds me of being completely out of the pop culture loop!
That is quite the question! Well there’s two for me, Runnin Outta Moonlight by Randy Houser because I was a frequent flier of the Country Concert Series that summer in Tinley Park but I was also visiting college and playing beer pong with some Grove St Party by Waka Flocka Flame in the background as well. I’m versatile with music when it comes to partying!
As a fan of Anne Rice and everything Sookie Stackhouse, I can't wait to read We Love the Nightlife! Has Rachel seen the movie Only Lovers Left Alive? I feel like she'd like it. For me, there's nothing more quintessentially twenty-three than Snoop. I was living in Paris, always going somewhere on the back of my French boyfriend's motorcycle and That's My Name felt like the official soundtrack to the city!
